DWS has made a trio of senior appointments to its institutional client team across Europe, as part of the asset manager’s global coverage group. Gareth Davies (pictured) joined as head of UK institutional clients, Alexia Giugni joined as head of institutional clients southern Europe and Shalin Bhagwan joined as head of UK pensions advisory. All three will also join the institutional leadership team. Gareth was previously head of client relationship management at Hermes Investment Management, where he built and developed client relationships across multiple distribution channels. Alexia has over 25 years’ experience in investment banking, with senior roles in fixed income distribution at JP Morgan, Citigroup and UBS. Shalin was previously head of fixed income at Ashburton Investments, where he was responsible for its liability driven investment business. RBS has appointed Bruce Fletcher as its new group chief risk officer, subject to final regulatory approval. Bruce is currently chief risk officer for HSBC’s global retail banking and wealth management business. He will replace David Stephen, who is moving to Westpac following an orderly handover of his responsibilities. Bruce is a banking veteran of more than 35 years, with the majority of his career at HSBC and Citigroup, in both London and New York. He is currently a group general manager with HSBC, where he is chief risk officer for their global retail banking and wealth management business. Bruce was previously chief risk officer of HSBC Bank, HSBC’s European banking arm, and during the financial crisis was chief risk officer of their UK banking unit. He spent 17 years at Citigroup, where he was a managing director and senior credit officer, and began his career at Irving Trust Bank in New York. He graduated from the College of William & Mary in Virginia.

Donate Nonperishable Foods at Participating Harris Teeter Stores to Help Local Food Banks

MATTHEWS, N.C. (PRWEB) July 23, 2018

In partnership with the Washington Nationals, local Harris Teeter stores are hosting a food drive from July 23 to Aug. 5 in support of its local Feeding America food bank partners, Capital Area Food Bank and Loudoun Hunger Relief.

In May, Harris Teeter donated over $250,000 to its various food bank partners and is hosting this food drive to continue its efforts to raise awareness to the problems of hunger and food insecurity.

Food donations will be accepted in the collection bins at participating Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. stores.

In addition to donating food at local Harris Teeter stores, Nationals fans may bring non-perishable food items to Nationals Park on Saturday, Aug. 4 and Sunday, Aug. 5 when the Nationals face the Cincinnati Reds.

Volunteers will collect donations outside the Center Field Gate from the time gates open through the second inning. Donations made at Nationals Park will benefit Capital Area Food Bank.

Fans who donate four or more non-perishable food items at the ballpark will receive two tickets to a future game, while supplies last. Additionally, on Sunday, Aug. 5, the first 500 fans who bring four or more Harris Teeter brand canned goods will receive $5 Nats Bucks.

Loudoun Hunger Relief (formerly Loudoun Interfaith Relief) is the largest food pantry in Loudoun County. Last year LHR provided 1.5 million pounds of food to more than 10,000 individuals. 40% of those served are children. About Paul Gorman, M.D. at Trinity Hand Specialists

Dr. Gorman graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston medical school in 1984. After completing a five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, he completed a one-year hand fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Gorman is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, with a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in hand surgery. Dr. Gorman is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Tennessee Medical Association, and the Tennessee Medical Impairment Rating Registry.
